A little bit about me - I was born at Sibley Hospital in DC on a rainy day to two parents who were both photographers. During my formative years I probably spent a little too much time in the darkroom helping out while also getting my mandated fix of She-Ra, Jem, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
It was easy to navigate toward photography as I grew up and once I hit college I went at it full steam ahead. I left DC with my college sweetheart to venture to Los Angeles where I spent my 20s doing what 20 somethings do and slowly learned to be not only a responsible adult but also a professional retoucher.
It’s easy to joke that I climbed the proverbial ladder - starting at a one hour photo shop in Beverly Hills helping random folks with small retouching needs, to an employee at a larger scale photo services department which gained me the skills to work under Jill Greenberg for several years. After leaving her studio I realized I didn’t need to be in Los Angeles anymore and we did what we always do before we made a big move - make a pros and cons list of the cities we were interested in.
Savannah won that round and, like the Live Oaks lining these streets, we planted deep roots. I’ve called the Hostess City home for about 15 years now and have enjoyed helping clients all over the country and internationally while enjoying the plodding pace of the city around me. Well, as plodding as it can be with a rambunctious 6 year old boy.
I’m always excited about working with new people to find out their personalities and stories as well as be a part of some amazing projects that are out there. Feel free to reach out, I’d love to hear from you!
